What is a biometric time clock?

Many businesses are switching to biometrics in order to control costs and improve efficiency.

Biometric timeclocks are a great way to prove employee presence while simultaneously reducing the amount of time taken up with old-fashioned timecard accounting. They have become inexpensive enough for small business, but can also be used by enterprise level corporations that are looking to save money in accounting while reducing timecard fraud that has existed since the first time clocks were introduced in the 19th century. Also known as “fingerprint time clocks” they are a useful way for small and large businesses to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and control employee absenteeism. As a benefit for the employee, a biometric time clock also assures that fewer errors in payroll will occur and proof of presence has been established, which can be useful anytime somebody gets accused of being somewhere else!
